Job Description
In this position, you will work as a part of a team repairing and maintaining track or the railroad right of way. This position requires substantial weekly travel to any of the 22 states in which we operate. The work week typically requires travel to the site on Sunday, working Monday-Thursday, with occasional work on Fridays, and traveling home after the work is completed.
Job placement and selection is determined by collective bargaining agreements. Due to seniority and the bid/bump process there is potential to be forced to a local or travel gang.
Duties & Responsibilities
Perform construction or maintenance tasks associated with railroad tracks.
Participate in group meetings including safety meetings, job briefings, etc.
Operate hand-held powered equipment and manual tools.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
Must possess a valid Driver's License
Must be able to perform heavy physical labor
Work Conditions
Stoops, bends, kneels, crouches, balances occasionally
May involve overtime including weekends and holidays
May require lifting in excess of 70 lbs
Works outside in all types of weather conditions

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
